Ask HomeGain
Dear HomeGain,
I just purchased BuyerLink and have been landing visitors on my homepage. This has produced some conversions, but not as many as I was hoping for. Any ideas tog et more people to register on my page?

Dear Todd,
Many website owners have a tendency to drive visitors to land on the front page
by default. It’s kind of the idea that if someone was to enter your house,
they would always enter through the front door and maybe not through the side
door or garage. A website is really no different, and in most occasions, the
homepage is not the best place to land visitors. You want to plan out the path
of your visitor so you can control what they see and where you want them to go.
By landing someone on your MLS search page for example, you are “encouraging” them
to take advantage of your search (where you want them to be!) instead of letting
them scroll though other parts of your site. Often, this MLS search will have
registration functionality that will force your visitors to register before accessing
results. Remember, you want them to register and view listings, not spend their
time on your “about me” page. An exception would be if you have your
registration form on your home page.
Best of luck,

Dear HomeGain,
I have been using the Agent Evaluator program for a few months and while enjoying
it so far (closing my first deal this month!) I find that after proposing, all
that I can do is wait for a response. Is there any way to resend a proposal or
send a new proposal?
--Bob Ryan, California |

Dear Bob,
There is a way to create follow-up proposals using the buyer and seller templates.
The buyer and seller templates options allow you to create as many templates
as you need to, as there is no real cap. Some of our most successful agents have
created initial templates, 3 day follow templates, 7 day follow up templates,
14 day templates, etc. You can send these templates as long as the consumer has
elected to receive them. While the consumer will not receive another email notification,
they will see in their control center that a new proposal has been received.
These follow up proposals should have a different message and different content
from your original proposal.
Best of luck,
HomeGain
